Michelle Obama’s new initiative is to help kids get healthier. Citing growing obesity rates, rising health care costs and poor food choices, the First Lady has launched a campaign to support healthier food in schools, healthy and affordable food everywhere and more physically active kids. The Healthier Schools page has a long list of research, programs, and ideas including the Washington State Action for Healthy Kids Team.

Not to mention an all expenses paid trip to the 5th National Farm to Cafeteria Conference in Detroit, Michigan, May 17-19, 2010.
